That is sad. Considering the Yenko 350 Nova from 69 would run 0-60 in like 4.7 and run 1/4 mile in low 13's - high 12's.

One thing I find funny is...
66 L72 Vette = 12.8 @ 112 04 Z06 Vette = 12.7 @ 115
Big difference in the prices of the 66 back then, and the Z06 now. Course the 66 now would be close to the z06 lol.

Thats what happens when you have new emitions laws, and gas prices. Gas prices are starting to go up agian, and still have the polution laws...but atleast some cars are starting to "beef" up a bit again.

Yeah but back in the 60s and 70s powerful cars were affordable, now only people with money can get powerful cars. (even if we could afford the cars, I'm not sure we could afford the gas.)

Your not kidding about cars being hard to afford now. Hell the big block novas, chevelles, chargers, mustangs and shit back then would put out just as good of times as a viper, vette, or mustang gt now days. And do so for atleast 30k less. (new car price..not 30k in mods)
Back then cars were cheap as hell compared to cars now days. Around Kia prices back then lol. High HP n/a big blocks and most would run 11's stock with some tunning and good tires. Now its turbocharged 4 cylinder FWD cars running 13's - 14's. But atleast they are starting to get back into the faster cars..even if it is a 4 banger.

FWD drag cars are a big bore. just like toyota in tha nascar truck series, but who wants to help build a time machine. grab a few hundred buck and go buy some bad ass cars.
