Im buying a 1991 Jaguar XJ6 Sovereign. Going to set back my plans for the Nova for a little while since Ill be paying it off...but it wont be too long. I can have it payed off in less then 14 weeks (thats not using my whole pay check either...which is nice). The guy is holding it for me till tomorrow after I get off work, I test drove it yesterday and it runs really good. It has a slight roar to it, which I believe is the tires. Doesnt sound like a bearing noise...and the car rides very smooth so I dont think its out of alignment. I took my hands off the wheel at 55mph and the car stayed straight, no vibration in the steering wheel when driving either. It has a 4.0 straight 6 in it with a 4 speed automatic trans. Leather interior. Must have been a one owner, everything is in very good shape and its 100% factory. Speedometer is a little confusing at first. You have to pay more attention to it to tell how fast you are going. It goes from 10, to 30, 50, 70....so you just have to look at the little lines to tell where 55 is. Registers 150mph on the speedo, not that id want to go that fast in a stock 4,075lb car. Overall I think it will make a nice daily driver. Ive read and a bunch of different places about gas mileage....each one said something different . From 15 - 21mpg...either way it isnt that bad considering.

Oh the best part about this, is I looked at it right after the guy at the carlot got it. Usually if the engine leaks oil they will clean them up where you cant tell (trick of all carlots basically). He hadnt touched this one yet, when I raised the hood it had a few leaves under the hood (plus a little mud on the side of the car and tires). I looked at the engine and it seems to be pretty clean, with no indications of leaks. After I test drove it I raised the hood....no funny smells.

It wasnt raining the other day when I test drove it for a second time and got to look it over better. Clear coat was fried and it was alot worse then I thought (no running wise tho). I back out because I didnt want something I had to paint and do body work on (I already do that enuff as it is). I bought a F*%D instead. lol
1996 Ford Ranger 4cyl 5 speed. Great on gas, looks really nice inside and out...and runs even better. 72,000 miles.

I was about to be paying on a junked truck after last friday. I was on my way to work (around 5:20) and I had drove about 7 miles with no water/ice at all on the road. So, I sped up to 60mph because I was running a little late....not long after I had picked my speed up I came around a curve. Woudnt you know....there was ice. At first the truck didnt do anything...but the light ass end didnt pay off. It kept going around and I knew if I hit the brakes it would only spin out. So I went for it, I floored it and got the tires to spin fast enough to catch enough grip to slide itself back around then after a few turns of the wheel it was straight again. It doesnt end there. I had remembered seeing headlights far behind me. I slowed down and watched behind me waiting. Sure enough...I saw the headlights come around the curve....then spin in a circle about 3 times . I turned back to check on the driver...there were about 5 other people on the road that passed by right when the car hit the ditch and never offered to stop. Well I turned back..and reconized the car. It was a cousin of mine. Luckly she was ok and the SUV was ok ...besides being covered in mud and pine needles.

Don't you just love winter? I've had some close calls but never lost control. You think ice is bad try coming up here and driving on the slush, that stuff is dangerous.

We usually have slush. Everybody that has moved here from up north talk about how bad winter is. I always tell them that 1 1/2 ft of powdery snow is alot easier to drive on then 4 inches of slush.
