I was hoping to be posting "I got my car primered! almost ready!" but blah. Looked like it was going to rain so I didnt paint. Which it did rain, but for only 5 mins . So that was a wasted day lol. Well maybe tomorrow it will be primered and ready to be sprayed. Its ready, did the last few touches today before it rained. I shaved my antenna hole also. Didnt need it...one in the windshield worked better anyway.

Yeah, those windshield antennas work good, when I first bought the Nova I tested the radio and it worked good.(just didnt fit the dash) That reminds me, anyone have an old radio that'll fit my dash? I'm not picky, just as long as it works and has an fm radio tuner. (just to get me by until I can afford a good one)

If its made like mine, they should be alot of radio's that will fit your car. Yours is at the bottom of the dash bezel on the right hand side of the steering column isnt it? Shouldnt be too hard to find one. Mine was cracked, so I didnt have to worry about finding one where the knobs would fit thru...i just put the cd player in the hole, and put the front cover on it...doesnt look bad.
A radio out of a 70's model chevy truck might fit your dash, I could be wrong tho.

Does your radio go in the same place as mine..or close to the same place? (you can see some of the crack that i was talking about that the CD player didnt cover up).

I think the switch beside the radio was put there as a nitrous button by the previous owner. He could have kept the switch...I want the big block he had in it . Yea sinister im pimping the road gear ;D. I cant hear any music over my engine to start with so I didnt see the need to spend alot on a good CD player. Got that one for $60 lol. About the only time I listen to it is when I work on the car sitting in the yard. With the car running cant hardly hear it.

73nova73...If mine wasnt busted where the radio goes I would get some of these radios we have and try to see if they would fit. But since the holes in mine where cracked...it would be hard for me to tell weather the radio would work in the nova or not.

Most people who own 75-79 Nova's dont take care of them. Compared to the 62 - 74 models, the 75 - 79's arent worth as much...so not many people keep them up. One reason to this is probally the fact that they were made at the ass end of the muscle car era, and right in the middle of all the emission shit. Plus older nova's are worth more because the simple fact that they ARE indeed older..which makes them more valuable and harder to find. Be interesting in the next 20 years tho...to see how much these mid - late 70's cars will be worth (novas and other's as well). Because by then, most will be worthless, yet people will want them because they will be hard to find then.
Already around here I almost NEVER see a 2 door 75-79 Nova. All the ones I see are 4 doors...and 90% of those are falling apart, smoking, rust buckets. So few of these being built and kept up good, in years to come not many will be left.

There's a few nice late models around here, there's one with a really nice black and white paint job done in a checkered flag paddern.
