The water was still rising slowly when I left. And it wasnt even raining (rose right at 1 ft probally, within 4 hours or so...with no rain....hate to see if it rains more)
Some cows were stuck on little hills, that looked like islands in the water....it was moving too fast for a human to cross, and too deep for the trucks or tractors down here to cross. He brought out his airboat, and was hearding cows across the water to dry land with the air boat lol. The straight headers on the 454 made the cows move fairly easy.

DAMN, you guys got alot of rain, the storm is supossed to be moving this way but there are so many hills around here that it makes it near impossible to flood anywhere. I hope that hurricane Ivan isn't going to hit the US, they say that thing is a monster.

Here are 2 new ones I took today. The water keeps getting higher...and it isnt even raining. First one is a shot from inside the car while im on the road. Another few inches and it will be covering the road now. Second is just a pic I took while driving...thats actually a shallow spot....most of the places are so far under water you cant see the fence posts at all.

In the last two pics? Probally about 2 miles or more away lol. That water was about 5 inches from covering the road (if it had gotten about 5 inches higher it would have covered the sides and the bridge along with the road)...and was about 1 1/2 feet away from the road. It has gone down a good bit since those pics were taken...I guess the opened up the dam farther down stream....only way I can see that much water leaving over night. (probally dropped a good 3 ft). Which is good, because if Ivan happens to bring rain my way....it could have been really bad. That much water, plus that much more coming would have been horrible.
