Hmm i guess they replaced the 307 that came in the car with a 305 later down the road. that sucks as far as hoping for something better goes but i kinda predicted that, i was kinda hoping that if they hadnt made it bigger it would still have the 307 it came with.
o well just another something im going ot have to replace down the line. Runs great now tho so ill use it while i build what i want to put back into it.

I Can't find 480777 so I'ts most likely a 305, alot of people use them because they just want to get the car running to sell it and they are VERY easy to find and cheap as hell. You said "the way it feels it feels like a 327" a 305 should be very gutless.

its not very gutless, when we drove it back we were having lots o fun. ^^
we picked it up on the coast so theres lots of winding dark roads, so we were messing around a little bit but we didnt wanna push it really hard cuz we picked it up in the dark and we werent sure how safe it was all together.
we didnt have speedometer cuz the wiring was gone so we had to keep my mom in the rear view mirror to tell if we were going the speed limit or not. we lost her a bunch ^^
but it didnt seem gutless at all.
why would he put an edelbrock intake and custom headers on a 305?

The speedometer runs off a cable connected to the transmission, not off any kind of wires. I have no idea how a 305 would make any kind of power...what's the rearend ratio? As for them putting on an intake, carb and headers well it makes it whole lot easier to sell.

The 305 I had in my old Camaro had a good bit of power for a 305. It was weak, but powerful compared to most 305's. (one i had in the nova when i got rid of it..78 custom). Some 305's have a bit of power...but its nothing compared to other small blocks.
My speedo is off by about 10-15 from my gears also.

lol wow your saying your car can beat a 305? Chevy 302, or 283 will have more power then a 305. Just because yours is a ford dont make it bad ass.
