All vehicles are usually faster then what magizines say they can do. I guess they just have shitty drivers. But 100% stock, right off the car lot nothing touched at all it would be hard to find a truck from the factory that will run 12's all day long.
They will either make a truck with too less horsepower, that wont be able to pull it off. Or try to raise the horsepower so high that the truck (being a truck, light in the rear) would spin too much. Yes if you change a pully here, slicks there....but 100% stock.
