lol yea you can get it pretty fast in 1st gear with those powerglides. (since its only 2 gears). My friend's 84 mustang he drag races has a powerglide out of a old bel air in it. (66)
BTW: it has a 350 in it..incase your wondering how he got a powerglide into a ford.

The "ru" sound? Yea your ford does make that sound. You try to start it up all it does is "ru ru ru ru ru ruuu ruuu ruuuu" Then battery goes dead.

Ever have a alternator go bad on you. You're trying to get home before it dies out completly...you look down at the amp gauge...and its going down? Ive done that in my grandpa's 76 truck.

lol, nope hasent happend to me yet but I was driving my dads truck and the the ignition module cut out and the motor quit, one second it was running fine and the next it was dead, I had to walk 1.5 miles to get to a phone, that sucked.

lol last time I broke my driveshaft I had to walk to somebody's house and ask for a ride. (guy my dad used to work with). Besides the coyotes being out, and sounding like they were about 50 ft from us....the guy had 2 dogs that we didnt know if they would bite or not lol. This was around 11:30 or so at night.

;D Got to love real Muscle cars! But, I wonder where on that list the Buick GNX would place? And yes I realize that it's far from a "Muscle Car" in the age department but, it was fast as hell. One would also have to question the Missing "AC Cobra" I didn't see it listed either. And what about the new 'Vette & the Viper? The list does make a real good point for the 427 Chevy and the Ford Cobra Jet engines though. Too Bad they are expensive and wouldn't make those numbers on today's weak gas, too high of comp ratios in many of these. The person that said something about a Chevy in a Mustang, funny I just saw a big layout in "Car Craft" about a BBC in one LOL.

The list only includes cars from the 60s and 70s, I never really thought of the cobra as a muscle car since it was built with road racing in mind. I think the GNX was the only muscle car in the 80s, in my opinion.

GNX is a great car, yes it was a Muscle car just built a little late. But it was far from the only one just the most known. i would have to say that the '89 Mustang GT (toted as the fastist Fox bodied built) Makes the cut as well, as does the Pontiac "Pro-Am II" , The'85 Camaro Z24 SE (Had a Corvette 350 TPI engine) Pretty much all the "Turbo" Buicks, and maybe the Impala SS. As for the Cobra, well yes it pretty much was a race car, but, in the true "Muscle Car" trad. A little lite body with way too much engine! Well o'well Those days are past and we are stuck with the modern FWD, 4 Poppers, with four doors or SUVs.
