Guy on another forum was asking about some decals he had. Wanted to know what they were off of. Here are a few pics of the "lineup" one of which his decals are. His are still wrapped tho, not on a truck. Probally worth some $$$$.

I guess the same people who put stuff like this on their cars back in the 70's...are parents of kids that do stupid things now days lol.

I guess they did have some really really good drugs back then huh? I'm a little confused about the question thou. Does he want to know about what they fit? Or does he want to know where they came from? (like who made them) No "real" picture of the decals so I couldn't tell ya what they fit. As for who made them I'd say the guy most likely overdosed long ago.

He wanted to know what they were for. The ones he has looks exactly like the ones on the truck above^^. They made them for all different types of vehicles (GM vehicles all that I know of)....the ones he has are for the 68-72 chevy trucks I believe. Far as who made them, I guess it was a factory option. Guess Chevrolet made them .

That would be a good guess. As for what they are worth well as with anything it's what someone will give ya for them. I suspect that someone working on a restoration of a truck would like them, mainly because I doubt any trucks that got them still have them on. Try Ebay dude, some poeple will buy anything. Later

Sorry to say.... but people actually had their car, truck, or van painted like this in the 1970s.
A local guy had a '57 210 2-door Sedan painted very similar to the picture of the truck posted. And NO... you could not get a paint job like that in the 1950s.
WHY did people do it? It was "Cool!" (not to me)
