The back peices are always busted on Nova's I find around. Did you know that they are made with paper? lol The outsides are cheap plasic and in between the pieces of plastic on them, is paper. Gaskets, lenses, and chrome bands last forever on them. But back plates are paper, and rot easy.

Yea mine are cheap made...I think alot of the stuff in the mid-late 70's started to get alot cheaper.
I think I may have some back pieces, but ill have to see if my old gaskets leak..if so ill have to get new ones.

Those gaskets are hard to find, if you can't salvage your old ones go to walmart and get a sheet of 1/4" thick foam, I've used it before and it worked.

Mine used to let in about 4 inches of water into the trunk. They still leak but not that bad now. (used some sealer) but id rather have the right stuff, or something like you said. Rather then just the sealer around it.

It's a grill filler panel, they cost about 55. I could probably find one of them at the junkyard too.

Yea new they would be about $35 - $60 depending on where you get them. But if you could find them at a junkyard, you might could pick them up for a few bucks. Too bad your car is older then mine. Junkyard near me has alot of 75 - 79 4 - door novas that have those pieces. I could get those for probally $5 a pair.

theres about 15-20 novas in the local junkyard here, most are 75-79s but there are about 6 68-72s and only 2 73-74s.
