A few more of the exhaust. I may have to do something else with the tail pipes, I'm not sure if these will pass inspection.

Was the piece of metal accidentally dropped in the cylinder while putting it together, or did it wear off from something?

Yea thats pretty big. Well, not big if you think about it normally...but in a engine that is big. Just a single grain of sand can completely ruin an engine.

Yup, and it sucks! 73, you should buy my seats, get them reupholestered first and stick them in there.. Looks good dude, especially the engine. Start getting that interior back together though!

I'm going to recover the old bench seat, I'm not sure when I'm going to start on the interior.

Looks good. The oil gauge...was it running idle when you took the pic or something? You have the front end sanded and primed yet or no? Already looks a hell of alot better then it did to start with.

Yup, all the pictures were taken while the motor was idleing at 900 rpm, that's pretty good pressure, a small block Chevy only needs 10 psi per 1000 rpm. The fenders need some more work before they can be primed but all the hood needs is to be sanded and primed.
BTW, that's not the q-jet manifold, it's the one that came on the 400 it's a Holley "Contender" intake, I had it sand blasted and then I wire wheeled it and it looks brand new, alot better than the silver paint on the q-jet one.
