I could do that with the windows closed and still get a good recording. ;D (the car isnt here tho.)

Same here. But you dont get the full effect. ;D lol It might either blow the mic up, or just make one big static sound if I got too close to mine.

I bit the bullet today and cut the drivers side 1/4 panel out, and with the help of my dad we got the new one lined up and ready to tack in, I'll have pictures tomorrow if it's not raining. A few weeks from now I'm going bite another bullet and pull the engine and tranny back out to fix all the leaks and do everything that needs to be done to the transmission.

I bought both sides for my old Nova, they were $100 each from the Paddock.

$100 aint bad at all. Only problem on either one of my 1/4 panels is on the passenger side. Showing off one day, hit 2nd and snapped the lugs on the passenger side rear tire off. Wheel hit the 1/4 panel knocked a little dent in it..had to knock it back out and smooth it out with body filler.

The 78 I'm buying is in decent shape rust wise but it has some fairly bad dents.

The 78 Nova Custom I had, (one my cousin has now) had alot of chrome trim around the fender wells, door, along the bottom of the car. Just about every place he took the chrome off to sand had rust or holes. Chrome trim looks nice, but can ruin a car. Almost as bad as vinyl tops...water gets under the trim, sets, and rusts the body out.

Yeah, I call them rust traps, my Nova came with the rocker moldings but there wasnt any rust under them, the bolts even came out easy.

My car was the cheap model nova when it came out. That is a good thing too tho, no moldings or anything..so there is no rust on the body. (have to patch a spot in the floor, and the only body filler is where the rear tire came off and hit the 1/4 panel). So basically my body is in really good shape.
My car came with no emblems, 1 mirror, the rear side glasses dont have chrome strips..they had metal bands instead, hell I dont even have back up lights. It only has 2 brake lights on each side, no place for back up lights lol.
