yea ill make sure to keep the lifters in order, but they are new, the lifters in there now only have 100 miles on them and we put that on driving it to the house.
Now i really gotta crank out some shit on the interior.
its been raining all week so i cant work on the car outside, and to make things worse the servers went down at local dial and were losing thousands of customers so Jims been pulling all night shifts trying to get the servers working right again so the garage is still stuffed.
basically in the center of the garage theres a giant screw thats going to control the x-axis on the milling machine were building, so in order get the screw up off the floor we need to mount it to the machine, and weve got all the bearing housings for it drilled out and we pressed the bearings in last weekend.
we havent done anything this week tho cuz weve all been very busy on other things.
hopefully ill have the interior ready to paint or atleast have the car in the garage so on weekdays i can get some work done. couple more weeks still tho until ill really dive into performance. Cuz i need to finish things as i start them otherwise im gonna end up with a nice shiny black piece of sheetmetal on wheels in the driveway.

Ugh, its stopped raining this weekend but my lil bro caught a cold at his dads and when he came back over to our house he gave it to us, so now im sick and everytime i get out to the garage to think about doing something my head hurts. Maybe some sleep wil help tho. If im lucky i might get the car in the garage tomorrow and maybe ill figure out how to get the dash out of the car. Btw..
Do any of u guys kno how a dash is bolted on my nova? ive never taken a dash out before so i have no clue where to start and just buy lookin around i didnt get very far.

It's a pain in the ass, you have to take the dash bezel out and the glove box liner and there are about 6-7 nuts that you take off under the dash and then there are two screws on both sides of it and then it should pull out.

Not alot of room to get some of those bolts out. Ive never taken one out of a Nova before (besides glove box, and dash bezel). But I imagine the heater ducts and stuff under the dash will be in the way.

No. The heater ducts arent in the way but I've never worked on one with ac so that may cause a problem.

I dont have AC, and i knew that it was probably bolted down somewhere, keep in mind its my first car, i have no clue what a dash bezel is... or how to get that off.
i need to know where the bolts n the screws are, and wtf a dash bezel is and how to get that off.
i got a charlie horse in my leg last night while i was asleep, so i can barely walk, so i wanna try to get this done as quick as possible.
Dr says i need more potassium or something like that =/

Ive always known that as the instrument panel, i had that, the ash tray, and the glove box out like 2 weeks ago ;P.
But where are the screws/bolts located that are holdng down the dash?
as in where is it bolted to the car?

The studs are attached to the dash pad and there is a jamb nut on each one (3/8" I think, could be 5/16") To get to them you have to crawl up under the dash and find them, (not bad if you have most of the dash out) their not too hard to find though. I wish I had my Nova here so I could go and get a picture.

Instrument panel, dash bezel...same difference ;D. The dash bezel isnt hard at all to get off...the dash itself souldnt be horrible..but will be more work.

You should take the dash out of a older truck. Have to basically cut the dash out.

Gah, I always get to these forums late and miss all the action. What was that kid talking about a CRX and a civic making 1000 hp or something? I didn't really care to read because I know more than likely he was making fun of it. Why is it that the second someone says "Ricer" they think of me? I don't know how it is around your people's places, but out of the kids who "rice out" their cars, only one or two are civics. The majority of the riced out cars are Celicas and Probes. Out of the 3 civics I know, two go for all-out performance and the other one has minimal mods but doesnt act like his car is the shiznit. The only ignorant assed ricers I can see are those damned celicas, and this one kid with a "Mustang 5.0" although it has a 4 cylinder in it and he tries racing everyone. Argh! I complain too much. And P.S. - All kids who have Civic's or CRX's or whatnot don't go around saying what their horsepower or torque is by all out guessing. I know my car doesnt have 300 HP and I'm not saying I am. Want to see a good example of a ricer? Here's one I originally pointed out: " www.cardomain.com/id/allblackcelica "
