Ok i got under there and checked it out, this time with a mission on what to look for =D
But theres no screws at the doorjams, and i searched n searched n searched and i only found 2 screws under the dash that went to the dash pad, and after takin both of those off there was still no sign of budging after 12 minutes of pullin n tuggin.
... are those 6 screws u talked about hidden? ;P

Mmm dash pad is out =D, i found those hidden screws. With my hidden screw finding flashlight.
But bad news is the piece i was hoping to take out after the dash pad, is a part of the dash alltogether which means im gonna end up taking out the windshield in order to get it sanded.
and i noticed that the metal covers on the interior of the car that run up the door, guess that doesnt really explain where that is.. but aywas thats rusted at the bottom corner too which means that im going to have to sand and repaint that also.
Not to mention that whoever painted the car black over the original hugger orange, never bothered to sand the door jams n what not, but painted over those. So now if u standing on the passenger side and u look at the door ull notice BRIGHT orange spots around the door...
so, that means i gotta do more sanding? ~~

Don't be a dumb ass like me when taking the windshield out, don't try to pry it out with a screw driver.(I don't have to tell you how that ended) Take some heavy guage guitar string and fish it thru the windshield tar and saw all the tar away and it should come out easy.

Oh no, you didnt do that 73nova73 . lol...I tried that a long time ago it didnt work out to well. It was on a junk car that I was just stripping down tho..so no biggie. I can change windsheilds in older vehicles easy, under 10 mins or so. But I dont mess with the ones that have the tar/glue stuff holding them on. Ill still to the old ones with rubber lol. How bad does the dash need to be sanded? Id just try to sand it with it still in there...tape up the inside of the windsheild and paint it...its kinda hard to get the very tip were it meets the windshield..but it can be done.

Yea i think im gonna end up leaving it in and just working as best as i can to get the very edge sanded, then after im done ill use a 1 sided razor to do some cleanup.
but all the wiring is out of the car now, damn its a mess, and all the interior is out of the car minus the doorpanels and the sidepanels in the back, cuz i have no fucking clue how to get those out lol. i kno thers some pins and i undid those little clippy things, and i took off the armrests but it seems to be held down at the top where it meets the windshield, and i remember hearing somewhere that the windshield roller thingies are held on witha c clamp... if thats true i have no clue how to get them off lol.

Yep, the door handle and window crank is held in with a horeshoe clip, go to an auto parts store and ask for the tool to get those off (about $7) and they are fairly easy to get off with that tool.

I hate those horseshoe clips. Yea go get the tool...you can get them out with a screwdriver. But you dont want to try that, trust me lol. You will be very angry when its all over with trying to get them out that way.

Yeah I tried it with needle nose pliers and ripped the door panel (it was one of the green ones in my Nova so I don't really care, I have all of the the black interior parts out of my old Nova)

The doorpanels are gonna b teh sukz cuz i already tryed the screwedriver, didnt ruin anything yet, but didnt get anywhere.
Ill go buy the tool, some lightbulbs, and a wiring diagram tonight or tomorrow if i can.
the little triangle window on the drivers side door, has a narly chunk taken out of the weatherstripping that i didnt notice, and i really dont have a clue on where to get that but u guys have had all the answers so far so u got any ideas on where to start looking for that, and how much of it do i need? ;P

Ill have to look around and see if I can find a place that sells that weatherstripping. I know of a place..but you can probally find it alot cheaper.
I have a Classic Industries book that I know probally has it in there...but it will be about 2 - 3 times higher then if you can find it somewhere else.

If you cant find one let me know, I'll check the junkyard for one. I've never had a Nova with the side vents in the door so I don't have any of them. I gotta make a trip to the junkyard anyway in a couple weeks to get a pair of bucket seats to put in my Nova until I can get the bench recovered.

everytime i walk passed that car i learn something new ;P
so mad tho cuz my friend recked his car n sold it to some kid for 200 n left 2 10inch subs in the trunk...
he said i could have those subs T_T
