The gmc probably had highway gears and a stock engine.

Was the ford on solid ground? Didn't all trucks in the '70s have fairly low gears?

If that truck only hits 75 than it has really low gears. How did the GMC get stuck on solid ground?

not mud, water, sand, gravel pit. Yes, a surface you can get traction on.

If my truck was a 4x4 id drag the ford and gmc both all over the place. And my truck is a stock. It will pull like hell, but its only 2wd so it spins sometimes. Ive pulled a 14,000lb truck sideways until it started spinning. Course I twisted the rear bumper on my truck in half also.

Your comment about GM trucks. "there still box's and" I take it you mean they trucks look like box's? Well ford isnt as square...but atleast Chevy didnt try and copy Dodge's look.
