Posts started to slack off for a little while, and I got bored, so I figured id post this.
Im thinking about messing around with a later 50's early 60's. (no title..so not sure year) Triumph. Just a "project" to work on till I can maybe find a fairlane. (what I was wanting to start work on originally) The Triumph is in my grandpa's junk yard. So I wouldnt have to buy it, plus with all the other car parts and metal around...I wouldnt need to buy anything really. Not for what I have planned for it anyway. (Just something to pass the time with)
I was thinking of trying to cut and weld the front suspension out of a 76? Mustang II. And try to make it fit under the Triumph. Put the rear end out of the mustang II in it. And drop a stock V8 into it. Only reason I wouldnt use the triumph chassis is because it would be hard to find parts for it. And I dont plan on spending any money on this car. Mustang is about the smallest thing I could use the subframe from, that would be able to fit a V8 in. And even the Mustang II is pretty big compared to the Triumph.
I could just about fit the triumph in the bed of my old pickup truck...thats how small it is lol.

A triumph is a small ass british car. My neighbor's son had it for parts for his triumph he drove. I think you have to import them to the US?? Its steering is on the regular side just like a american car tho. Ill find a pic and show you what it looks like. (One like it..not the exact one im going to mess with)

Thats exactly what it looks like ^ Pic is of a 1959 Triumph TR-3A Everthing you see there is on the one in my grandpa's junkyard except the front piece. (part with grill and headlights). Thats the only ugly part on the car to start with....so ill probally just make a custom front end out of sheet metal. I know one thing...the car is light as hell lol.

Too bad the one in my grandpa's junkyard isnt in better shape...it is worth a lil bit restored. All is there except some engine parts (block, clutch, tranny and all is there) and the front piece. (fenders, and hood there..just grill and headlight piece isnt) It had a small 4 cylinder stock. I have 2 sets of wheels for it too.
