I might end up buying a 1983 Monte Carlo from my former step-father sometime this year or next. I'll post up pics when it gets back from painting ;D Its schweet.
Think I should buy it?

He hasn't given me an estimate yet because he's not selling it yet lol, but probably around 2000. But this summer I'm working every day for 8 hours at about $6/hour, and I'm trying to see if I can get other jobs, but with just that one job I'll get nearly the 2 grand. I think he has a 350 in it, he ripped out all the computer crap and stuck it in lol. Its all chrome and he has gauges on everything, its sick. Automatic transmission, but gets going when you throw the throttle into the carpet. I love it. lol, so by this time next year I could have my motorcycle, my honda, and my monte carlo. Nice. ;D

Better be clean or your up for a pain in the ass. Check the floors and rear frame rails, those are the worst places for rust. And if theres any rot on the body I'd forget it. Theres plenty out there still you can find a nice clean one.
