I kinda slacked off this weekend as far as the Nova goes because my dad and I had to put some brakes on the Jeep so all I got done on the Nova was I put a new fuel pump on it because the other one was a three line type and it must have had too much pressure causing the float to stick in the Holley and spitting gas everywhere. It runs better than ever now (still wanting an Edelbrock though). ANYWAY, I went to a car show yesterday and took some pics: www.cardomain.com/memberpage/315630/9The new ones are at the bottom starting with the yellow 'Stang, you'll know which ones are new because they are nice and clear. (unlike the other ones on that page that were scanned) I would have posted the pics on here but it would have taken forever to load the page.

Some nice cars. Nice that one of the nova owners tried something different, but too bad it didnt work out on the car. (one with the sunroof and custom tails). We had a car show in one of the towns near here saturday but I didnt even bother going. Ones around here usually suck. Last one I went too only had about 9 or 10 old cars. Rest were rough looking 80's - 90's cars that were only showing sound systems off. One car in the show had even been in a wreck. Front end all messed up.

Some nice cars there. We have a car show here during Riverboat days. Theres usually some realy nice cars there and most of umm are old. Only a few ricers, there was a godawful one there, it was like a tan Prelude with a freakin 20in wing and 10 spoke chrome hubcaps. i wanted to tell her to get the hell out, but i wouldnt be a very nice person if i did that would i. lol. Theres quite a few around my area theres one that this year had over 500 cars.

I could have brought my Nova to the one last sunday but I didn't know there was a "beater/work in progress" class, hence the reason that disco Nova was there, that's going to be nice car when they get done though.

Yea its good if the owner likes it. Because its his car not ours. If he likes it, thats all that matters. IMO any older muscle car doesnt look right with sunroofs tho. If I was going to do something different with the roof on a nova, IMO a T-Top nova would look sweet.

How about a convertable? Or maybe a half top? I just think that if the Nova was meant to have roof modifications, the General would have done it from the factory. A t-top might look good on a '75-'79 but I'd have to see it before I decide. (you gonna be the first? ) This Nova belongs to a friend of mine, it doesnt look TOO bad but it would look better without the sunroof:

The convertible looks odd, I do like the 1st gen verts tho. That half top doesnt look right either.

Yeah the '62-'63 cars looked great as convertibles and I saw a '67 made into one too and it looked great, but that's about where it ends, nothing after that year is going to look right with the top hacked off. IMHO

It's really not that nice of a car, he painted it 3 days before that picture was taken and it looks terrible up close, theres runs everywhere and you can see the old yellow paint in places that he got masking tape happy. He's selling it for $4000 but he isnt going to get that much, it's quite a car though, it has a 450hp 350 and a 4.11 rearend.
